How can I help my magnolia recover from a large storm wound?

When a stem splits it is best to leave the wound open to callus over. The tree should recover but advisable to reduce the remaining crown to help prevent further wind damage.

I would recommend a soil treatment of Potassium phosphites to help stimulate the trees immune system. Make an appointment.
